PSALMVS CXVI — LAVDATE DOMINVM
O Praise the Lord, All Ye Nations
About This Prayer
Laudate Dominum, omnes gentes is the shortest psalm in the Psalter, yet among the most sung. In the 1962 Breviary, it appears at Sunday Vespers. St. Paul quotes it in Romans 15 as proof that the Gentiles would praise God. Its brevity and universal scope make it the quintessential hymn of catholic worship.
