Prayer Text

LATINE
Ego sum Dominus Deus tuus;
non habebis deos alienos coram Me.
Num Deo cultum ei soli debitum praestiti?
Num credidi sortilegis, horoscopiis, superstitionibus, vel occultis?
Num Sacram Communionem in statu peccati mortalis recepi?
Num mendacium in Confessione dixi, vel peccatum mortale celavi?
Num orationem per longum tempus neglexi?
Num graviter de articulis fidei dubitavi?
Num contra Deum in adversis murmuravi?
Num in creaturis potius quam in Deo confisus sum?
Num aliquam personam vel rem plus quam Deum dilexi?
Actus Fidei, Spei, et Caritatis:
Deus meus, credo in Te, spero in Te,
diligo Te super omnia, ex toto corde et anima,
quia Tu es summe bonus et omni dilectione dignus.

Have I neglected prayer for a long time?
Have I seriously doubted articles of faith?
Have I murmured against God in adversity?
Have I put my trust in creatures rather than in God?
Have I loved any person or thing more than God?
Acts of Faith, Hope, and Charity:
O my God, I believe in Thee, I hope in Thee,
I love Thee above all things, with my whole heart and soul,
