Gaudete Sunday's first antiphon declares the Lord coming without delay to illuminate hidden darkness (1 Cor 4:5). His manifestation to all nations marks Epiphany themes entering Advent. The joy of Gaudete (Rejoice!) pervades this antiphon's confident proclamation.

Veniet Dominus, et non tardabit, et illuminabit abscondita tenebrarum, et manifestabit se ad omnes gentes, alleluja.
ENGLISH
The Lord will come, and he will not delay, and he will reveal things hidden in darkness, and will manifest himself to all nations, alleluia.
