The Litany of the Most Holy Name of Jesus was approved by Pope Leo XIII in 1886. St. Bernardine of Siena (1380-1444) was the great apostle of this devotion, displaying the monogram IHS. The approximately 48 invocations address Christ's divine nature, virtues, mission, and relationship to the faithful.
