A responsory sung after the a lesson at Matins during Septuagesima. The responsory form—with its verse and repeated refrain—allows meditation on the Scripture just proclaimed.

LATINE
R. Sana animam meam, * Quia peccavi tibi. Sana. V. Ego dixi: Domine, miserere mei. Quia peccavi tibi. Gloria Patri. Sana. V. Adjutor meus, esto, ne derelinquas me. R. Neque despicias me, Deus, salutaris meus.
ENGLISH
R. Heal my soul, * For I have sinned against thee. Heal. V. I said: Lord, be merciful unto me. For I have sinned against thee. Glory be. Heal. V. Be thou my helper, forsake me not. R. Do not thou despise me, O God my Saviour.
