Used at Terce on Sundays throughout the year (outside privileged seasons).

A responsory sung after the a lesson at Matins during Ordinary Time. The responsory form—with its verse and repeated refrain—allows meditation on the Scripture just proclaimed.

R. Incline my heart, O God, * Into thy testimonies. Incline. V. Turn away my eyes that they may not behold vanity: quicken me in thy way. Into thy testimonies. Glory be. Incline. V. I said: O Lord, be thou merciful to me. R. Heal my soul, for I have sinned against thee.
