Si quaeris miracula, mors, error, calamitas, daemon, lepra fugiunt, aegri surgunt sani. Cedunt mare, vincula; membra resque perditas petunt et accipiunt juvenes et cani. Pereunt pericula, cessat et necessitas: narrent hi qui sentiunt, dicant Paduani.
ENGLISH
If thou seekest miracles, death, error, calamity, the demon, leprosy flee; the sick are made whole. The sea obeys, chains are broken; young and old ask back lost limbs and things: perils vanish, want is banished: let those who experience it tell, let the people of Padua say.
