Antiphona (Paschaltide)
From Ps. 118. Used at Sext throughout Paschaltide.
About This Prayer
The Sext antiphon for Paschaltide from Psalm 118, with its petition 'I am thine, save thou me, O Lord.' At Sext, the sixth hour, the Church recalls Christ's crucifixion (Mark 15:33). During Eastertide, the Alleluia transforms this hour of death into a celebration of salvation accomplished through the Cross and Resurrection.
