Feria IV Hebdomadae Sanctae - Spy Wednesday Vespers Collect

This Vespers collect for Spy Wednesday is the famous 'Respice, quaesumus': 'Look down upon this thy family, for which our Lord Jesus Christ did not hesitate to be delivered into the hands of wicked men and to suffer the torment of the Cross.' This collect, repeated throughout the Triduum, presents the Church as Christ's family redeemed by His voluntary suffering.
