The versicle Haec dies (Psalm 117:24), 'This is the day which the Lord hath made,' sung at Compline during the Easter Octave. This psalm verse, integral to Easter liturgy, replaces the usual collect introduction. Each day of the Octave is liturgically equivalent to Easter Sunday itself, hence the repeated proclamation of 'this day' the Lord has made.
