Christus Factus Est (Holy Saturday Extended)

Holy Saturday at Little Hours: Full text with exaltation (Phil 2:8-9). Used at Prime, Terce, Sext, None.

This extended form for Holy Saturday's Little Hours includes the exaltation: 'For which cause God also hath exalted him, and hath given him a name which is above all names' (Philippians 2:8-9). The full Christological hymn now appears, as the Church awaits the Resurrection. The descent to death is followed by the ascent to glory.
