Antiphona 4 ad Laudes
Advent III (Gaudete) - Lauds Antiphon 4
About This Prayer
"Montes et omnes colles humiliabuntur" (Mountains and all hills shall be brought low) from Isaias 40:4 and Luke 3:5 describes the Baptist's ministry preparing the Lord's way. The geographic leveling figures moral preparation. The refrain "Veni, Domine, et noli tardare" (Come, Lord, and delay not) voices Advent's central petition.
